A New Project

What's this? An update? Yeah, I've been working elsewhere lately. Besides writing reviews and columns for Comic Book Revolution, a few friends and I have started up a little project called Thought Balloons. We take an established comic character, be it from the Big Two or from a more obscure book, and we test our writing might by penning a one page script for him/her. Its been fun so far, even though I had to sit out this week. Anyway, go check it out, read some fun scripts, and leave us a comment letting us know how we can improve. It's an exercise in fun, but we are also using this to improve our writing skills. Hope to see some people there.

Wow, I really need to get used to posting more. So I've ripped off started a new series of comic reviews called A-Z! I got the idea from Comicflipper and even though he started it, I knew that my version would inevitably be different than his, so I decided (with his permission) to go ahead with it. So those posts will be coming very soon methinks, starting with A: Atomic Robo! Hopefully in the next day or so.

Since the decade just came to a close (not really, that will happen at the end of this year, but anyway) I figured some sort of list was in order. But I didn't want to do the typical list, so here are my Top 15 Favorite Games that Didn't Come Out in 2009. Secret Warriors Volume 1 Review

So, there's this guy named Nick Fury. I've never liked him, to be honest. Then I heard about this series Jonathan Hickman (with some help from Brian Michael Bendis) was doing about him. I found the hardcover today at a used bookstore for ten bucks. Ol' Hickman really restored my faith in the Fantastic Four. Could he and a ten dollar bill do the same for Nick Fury?
